ST. SIMONS, Ga. (November 13, 2025) - Northview Hotels and Resorts (“Northview”), an owner and operator of distinctive properties in premier destinations throughout the U.S., announced it has assumed both hotel management and construction management responsibilities for The King and Prince Beach & Golf Resort, following the property’s 2024 acquisition by South Street Partners. The property is the largest beachfront resort in coastal Georgia's Golden Isles.

The King and Prince Beach & Golf Resort, which opened in 1935 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, is renowned for its blend of Southern charm, rich coastal heritage, and direct access to one of the Southeast’s most treasured beachfronts. Under Northview’s management, the resort will undergo a comprehensive renovation and repositioning designed to elevate the guest experience and secure the resort’s legacy for future generations.

The ambitious revitalization will redefine the property as a one-of-a-kind Southeast oceanfront luxury resort and private golf club where rich coastal heritage meets modern luxury to deliver a refined guest experience, all while preserving its Southern charm and coastal elegance. The renovation will encompass all public spaces, guest rooms, dining venues, meeting spaces, and the historic golf club. Every detail is being approached with care to retain the property’s historic character while reintroducing it as a storied icon, beautifully reimagined. 

As part of the renovation, acclaimed golf course designer Beau Welling has been engaged to renovate The King and Prince Golf Club. Located just north of the resort, the 18-hole course and clubhouse will undergo significant updates and reopen in the fall of 2026, with a vision to elevate the playing experience and transition to a private club.

The firm’s expertise in operational strategy, capital planning, and construction management will guide the multi-phase project from concept to completion.  

Located on nearly six oceanfront acres, The King and Prince Beach & Golf Resort features 190 guest rooms and suites, multiple dining venues, resort-style pools, and direct access to the beach.
